LOOKING AHEAD: MARCH GENERAL MEETING:

Registeration at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the JOHNSON COUNTY MUSEUM OF HISTORY in Franklin.

PROGRAM:  T.J. Vculek, a FCSC Middle School 7th grader will entertain those attending with his outstanding banjo playing skills. He has won several awards and has performed at several venues.

Directions to JOHNSON COUNTY MUSEUM OF HISTORY at 135 N. Main Street. It We will assume that you know how to get to Franklin. The museum is north of the court house and one block north of the Artcraft Theater on the same side of the street as the Artcraft. There is an evevator near the parking lot.

JCTRA general meetings are held five times a year in various locations in the county. We have a meal and a speaker or program for those attending. We encourgage you to attend as many as possible. Guests are welcome and we strongly encourage you to invite any retired teacher you know to attend.  Family and friends or retired teachers are also welcome.  

GENERAL MEETINGS:   March, May, July, September, December. Other than December, meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of those months. The December meeting is held the first Tuesday of the month.

Sixty-two people attended the December general meeting at GreenwoodVillage South Retirement Home on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. They were WOWED by performance of the choir from Perry Township Burkhart Elementary School. The choir was directed by music teacher Mrs. Sandy Rogers.  The meal and door prizes were also enjoyed by those in attendance.

JCRTA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL  MEETINGS:  They are held the 3rd Wednesday the month before the general meetings:

The next JCRTA Executive council meeting will be held at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, February 15th at Grace Methodist Church in Franklin.  Any JCRTA members are welcome to attend.
